Why We're Excited
At Neighborhood Compost, we’re more than a curbside pickup service. We’re a woman-owned, mission-driven organization rooted in Northern New Jersey, closing the loop between food disposal and food cultivation since 2020. Our team collects food scraps and organic material, composts it on our 6-acre farm using livestock and thermophilic windrows, and turns it into nutrient-rich compost that helps grow local crops — many of which end up right back in your neighborhood.
